This week, the yoga teacher gave us an assignment to listen to a book called “deliberate practice” and write the feeling after listening to it
.
I have heard this book before
.
Today, I find it out and listen to it again
.
I recall my mental journey of learning yoga
.
1
.
My understanding of “deliberate practice” in the book is as follows: in the process of practice, “use the brain to the heart”, think deeply, and make progress in reflection
.
The book disenchants the theory of “10000 hours”: first, time is not enough for some things; Second, there may be more to some things; Third, it may not be useful
.
2
.
My understanding of this “useful” is: because the brain and body development of the human body serve for “survival”, all actions are to preserve physical strength and “survive”
.
So sometimes in the process of action, the brain and body will “lazy”, which is casual and instinctive, That’s why if we just use “10000 hours” numbly, it may not work
.
We need to fight against the “autonomous driving” state of our brain and actively think about how we can make progress every day
.
3
.
Set goals and see the vision
.
Because by chance, just because I want to improve my physical condition, I come into contact with yoga, and then I fall in love with it uncontrollably
.
I really haven’t thought about what I’ll become
.
I think I can really imagine what the future will look like
.
I have the greatest imagination and curiosity about it, and then create it
.
I’m sure there will be a lot of motivation
.
4
.
Self drive from the heart
.
It’s hard to stick to one thing by external force
.
A year ago, I couldn’t imagine that I would go to a yoga studio after work
.
Other people’s admiration and praise, that is in the “self enjoyment” very after the thing
.
I really enjoy the process of practice
.
One morning, I was ecstatic with the different feelings of the two “dog down” exercises
.
I felt my progress, which was the result of thinking and love
.
5
.
Connect with your heart
.
Living in the city, almost everything is trying to pull us onto the “overtaking lane”
.
Everything is too fast, which makes me tired and at a loss
.
Yoga can give me a moment of peace, let me really slow down, in this process, understand their own body, understand the boundaries and limits of the body, slowly break through the limit
.
When resting, I will imagine me and my yoga mat rotating on the earth, “I” for the earth, very small, all the troubles are nothing“ I’m very big
.
I’m very important to myself
.
After learning yoga, I value my body more
.
6
.
Find balance and peace between one breath and one breath
.
The teacher said, people come to this world, with the first breath, crying; When you leave, breathe your last breath
.
So life is a “one inhale and one exhale”
.
I think this angle is very unique
.
Life is very long and short
.
“Dreams are still long and there are many roads
.
It’s not only you and me who are cheated by this So it’s enough to live in the present moment
.
I think I really live for myself after learning to “look inside”
.
I used to care too much about other people’s evaluation and live in other people’s expectations
.
Now I only care about whether I am happy and satisfied
.
In October of last year, I was still troubled by my lack of concentration
.
Now I’m not
.
7
.
The pursuit of excellence is a well tempered practice
.
My teacher is the “king of asana”
.
I can see that he can bear hardships in order to practice yoga, which may be his own pleasure
.
Therefore, if I want to be outstanding, I have to accept the dullness and practice in this process
.
Although I don’t want to practice difficult movements, I can actually think about it
.
