12 Cultivation Principles of Kundalini Yoga

The energy of Kundalini yoga comes from the simultaneous use of breath, movement, rhythm, posture, mantra chanting, concentration and energy lock to activate and integrate different parts of our existence.

The following principles are helpful to remind us to pay attention to the multi-level aspects of our cultivation and strengthen the results.

1.

From fear to love, in order to eliminate the old conditions and set up new programs, it is necessary to monitor your mental and emotional state.

Train yourself to transform from fear to love.

In this way, you should transfer yourself from the opposite mind to the neutral mind and heart.

Listen to the differences and how they interact.

It is easier to release thoughts and attitudes based on fear from your neutral mind and heart, and choose a loving way to live with yourself, others and life.

2.

Prananyam – balance vital qi/downward qi, actively and consciously use pranayama to increase benefits, release and relax during practice.

The Kundalini energy is activated when the life qi and the downward qi are balanced.

In your daily activities, remember to breathe deeply from your abdomen.

Slowing and deepening your breathing can calm and refresh your mind at the same time.

Remember to meditate SAT and exhale NAM3 when inhaling.

Rhythm and flow Many Kundalini yoga exercises, including movements, should establish a comfortable rhythm and keep the same rhythm flowing.

Relaxing in our own rhythm will help relieve pressure and bring our physiological system into balance.

When breathing actively and naturally, meditate with the rhythm and flow of our breath.

4.

Open posture In order to keep the heart open, the rib cavity and diaphragm should be lifted up (lift the chest up, keep the spine extended) when practicing all the positions that put the chest forward, and the head should be aligned at the top of the spine (close the neck lock).

Note that when you bend forward, the leg stretches (here refers to actions like “forward bending”), the goal is your heart, not your head close to the leg.

In all sitting meditation, adjust your posture and pull the spine up from your back neck to keep your heart open.

Check your posture and make sure that you do not stoop when sitting in front of the computer and when you are sitting or standing in other places all day long, as well as during activities.

Make sure it’s your heart, not your head that leads you.

5.

Use the energy lock to strengthen the posture and use the energy lock to calibrate the spine so that Kundalini energy can flow freely.

Use energy lock when doing internal and external suspension.

The use of root lock is the internal strength that can release Kundalini energy and strengthen posture.

6.

Focus and cultivate awareness to focus on your experience in the current flow with all your senses – feeling, listening and accepting.

Cultivate awareness of self, subtle energy and neutral space in mind, heart and body.

7.

The third eye and Dantian are two natural focus points for projecting energy.

When you use the (body) lock, focus on the center of the eyebrow, then the energy can flow upward along the spine, activate the pituitary gland, and awaken the neutral mind.

Maintaining a neutral concentration in the third and sixth chakras can increase clarity and your projection.

8.

Keep still so as to integrate the benefits Take a short break between kriyas, meditation and practice, and let your body practice and integrate the benefits of meditation.

Take advantage of this time of doing nothing to relax, put down control, pay attention to internal changes, and cultivate awareness.

Trust the higher wisdom of your body and soul to heal and repair all aspects of your life.

9.

Sound of Permeability – Divine mantras/mantras are penetrating sounds to awaken consciousness.

Connect the mantra with the breath by hearing SAT when inhaling and NAM when exhaling, and call your true essence at the same time.

Spells can synthesize negative thoughts and purify subconscious patterns based on fear.

Yogi Bhajan provides us with sound technology, because he knows that the higher shock wave of the holy spell can pull us into the heart of the new era.

The holy spell cleans up our energy and cuts off the rope based on fear, so that we can escape from the emotional state of self-destruction.

10.

If you have a will, you should treat yourself kindly to be happy, and this is also the basis of loving yourself.

Notice how long you need to let yourself down.

Increase the number of breaths to extend the time when you put down and comply with God’s will.

Even before you continue to the next step of cultivation, take one more breath to strengthen your endurance.

Yogi Bhajan said, “Where there is a will, there is a way.” (That is, patience creates energy conducive to creating abundance) 11.

The pure heart practices Kundalini Yoga step by step and systematically to clean up and purify your whole person.

Be aware of the changes your body and aura feel.

Pay attention to your perceptual experience with loving heart.

Note that your love comes from your heart, not your mind.

The heart will shine and can connect with pure compassion.

When compassion sneers at yourself, it will produce self-love.

The purity of our heart is sweet, comfortable and crystal clear.

Let the light in your heart shine out the pure spectrum unique to your soul.

As Yogi Bhajan said, “The effect of the heart chakra is 108 million times greater than that of the mind.” The mind is a computer.

The heart chakra has the energy of 108 suns.

12.

Your presence becomes attractive.

By focusing on the feelings in your body at the same time, you can gather your energy, contain it and let it fall.

A useful touchstone is to feel all the feelings in your skin.

Gather your presence energy to create the presence attraction, which can attract opportunities and promote prosperity.

Make sure to be aware of your whole body and let yourself fall when you finish your cultivation.
