The movement of “Qi” in the human body is called “Qi machine”, which has four basic movement forms: rising, falling, going out and going in.
Under the normal dynamic operation of the Qi engine, the lifting, opening and closing are smooth and balanced, so the synthesis and decomposition of the body are also balanced, ensuring that all physiological functions can be carried out normally.
Back to the pranayama method of yoga, it is precisely used to regulate the out, in, up and down of energy, so it can naturally play the role of regulating the Qi, regulating the nervous system and promoting the self-regulation of the body.
Maybe some students will ask, is the asana useful? As we have said before, is there any difference between the essence of asana and general movement, but it is useless not to represent it.
In fact, asana exercises are as useful as general exercises.
They can be used to repair the body, the container of “Qi” and “energy”.
Therefore, at the beginning, we can evaluate and remove the restriction of the body through postures, so as to make the container more unobstructed.
At this stage, focus on the movement of the body and the feeling of the body.
Then we can try to use the change of container shape to guide the flow of “Qi” and “energy” on the basis of asana.
At this time, we will add breathing regulation to asana practice.
For example, we will raise our arms when we breathe in and let them fall when we breathe out.
We use actions to guide energy up / down or open / close.
When the “container” of our body is unobstructed enough, the movement of Qi will be more smooth.
At this time, we will naturally join the “breathing method / pranayama” practice.
This is why I encourage you to do dynamic exercises.
At the beginning, you should not worry about whether to breathe in or out.
First, you should find a comfortable and stable position and posture.
The container is not restricted, and your breathing can not be hindered.
Only then can you have the conditions to consider further things.
