Yoga means unity – it unites everything that represents us to form a whole.
If our whole is composed of Yin (passive, quiet and quiet), then the other half must be Yang (active, mobile and mobile).
For many years, Almost all my exercises are Yang Yoga (composed of flowing, flowing movements, transiting from one to another.
I didn’t know my new love – Yin Yoga until last year and a half.
I have only done Yin Yoga for several months.
Whether in class or at home, I choose to participate in Yin Yoga classes.
I feel that I need it.
It nurtures me.
It calms the noise inside me, which comes from many situations I can’t control.
Monica’s Words have always been the balm of my soul.
Many times, I will cry in class.
I know that many negative energies around me are being purified and discharged from my body.
Tonight, I practiced at home again, but for some reason, although I practiced Yin Yoga the other day, my body said today that it wanted something more energetic.
So for the first time in so long time, I practiced Vinyasa.
I am bracing myself for the difficulties.
After all, vinyasa means I have to do several chaturangas.
Surprisingly, everything went well.
There is no doubt that my arm lacks strength.
But it’s not as bad as I thought.
In fact, I really enjoyed the process of returning to Vinyasa.
But you know what? When I did happy work like a camel, tears came down for a while.
I remember my tears when I practiced Vinyasa a few years ago always occurred when I was in the position of opening my heart.
At this point in my life, I know that many heart related injuries and pains are like open wounds in my soul, which are brought to the surface through yoga, especially during the heart opener.
But tears have a way to heal, purify and prepare me to let go, let go, let go.
One day, I will learn to let go completely.
be it so.
After completing my Vinyasa exercise, I had time to think about how to customize and innovate in my exercise.
If Yin and yang are indeed two equal parts of a whole, why can’t I combine my practice and combine Yin and flow yoga into one? vinyasa! “Yang cannot exist by itself; it can only exist with the support of Yin…” ~ Shao Yong, philosopher, I think I will try yinyasa in two ways.
One day, I will first do Yin (stretch the tissue, open the hips, create space and remove obstacles to energy flow) to prepare for active tandem asanas.
Maybe 30 minutes of yin and 1 hour of Vinyasa will do.
Then in another class, I may start with Vinyasa and end with Yin, so that I can be quiet, relax and meditate at the end of my day.
If you are a yoga teacher who combines Yin Yoga and flow yoga in one class, I would like to hear your thoughts and opinions on my practice.
Love and light…
Om Shanti…
