Guru yoga is born from the self continuation.

If someone thinks: Well, doesn’t the Sutra say “relic son, victory over righteousness should be realized by faith”? It can be seen that faith alone can realize the meaning of selflessness.

This teaching certificate shows that you can’t enter the Tao without faith.
It is faith that opens the door of all dharmas.
Therefore, you must first have pious faith, and you can’t realize the meaning of truth only by faith.

Relying on faith alone can not get the sound, hearing and fate of arahango.
If you Bodhisattvas don’t rely on the good knowledge of the guru held by the outside and the compassion Bodhi Heart held by the inside, you can’t see the true meaning of the nature of Tao and Dharma.
Therefore (in the Sutra on solemnity) said: “be close to good friends, calm down, increase virtue, have courage, ah Hanfu, feel the truth and goodness, and the depth of compassion is reduced.” For the guru who has ten kinds of merits and virtues, or although he does not have ten kinds of merits and virtues, but the benevolent Bodhi Heart is already proficient in good knowledge, he stops with confidence and makes a special Bodhi Heart.
He does not mention the perfection (merits and virtues), maturity (emotion) and Practice (earth braking) of the Buddha and Bodhisattva photographed by six degrees, but can see the true meaning of Dharma nature with confidence.
It just means that if you damage the guru and lose confidence, you will accumulate a great sin.
